WATERFALLS, LAKES AND STREAMS



he Mt Hood National Forest is filled with high elevation lakes, crystal clear streams and scenic water falls. You can swim at Timothy Lake, hike to Zig Zag Falls and explore Camp Creek. TIMOTHY LAKE
Plenty of day-use areas and swimming holes await you at this large alpine lake. Access is easy by car.

RAMONA FALLS
Following the Sandy River, the trail looks upon Mt. Hood and ends at the 120-foot falls which cascade down a staircase of columnar basalt.


LITTLE CRATER LAKE
Amidst a wildflower meadow and resting near the Pacific Crest Trail, this lake is only 100-feet across and is amazingly clear.


TRILLIUM LAKE
Perfect lake for kayaking, sailing and fishing. Access is easy by car.


MIRROR LAKE
Starting at Yocum Falls and climbing ever so gently to a private lake amongst the forest and with spectacular views of Mt. Hood.


TAMANAWAS FALLS
On the eastern side of Mt. Hood lies this 100-foot waterfall which has carved out an amazing Cliffside for visitors to hike behind the curtain of water.


HIDDEN LAKE

Great for all ages because it is a gentle hike to a scenic alpine lake on the western flanks of Mt. Hood.


WIND LAKE
This is a gorgeous alpine lake behind the slopes of Mt. Hood Skibowl. Guides at Skibowl lead horseback rides and hikes here everyday in the summer.
