Timberline Ski Area
Yes, it is true! Mt. Hood is host to North America’s only year-round ski lift operations. With access to the Palmer Glacier at 7000 feet the fun continues all year long. Never tried skiing or snowboarding? Imagine learning to do so in the middle of the summer! Most of the major ski and board manufacturers from around the country set up shop in Government Camp every summer. Ski and snowboard teams from around the world, including the US Olympic team can also be seen on Mt. Hood for summer workouts.

Collins Lake Resort is the best base area for skiing at Timberline each year. You will not find better housing anywhere closer on the mountain!
